Join our Work for the Common Good

Corruption thrives on confusion. We answer with facts as a nonpartisan community of everyday Americans working together to restore our republic.

We all want a better America. We agree on far more than we have been told.

Our Simple Liberty community studies how our government works - and what our Constitution asks of its citizens.

The starting point is for us to know the issues - really know them - not make decisions based on assumptions, bias, and social media soundbites.

American freedoms require citizens to be informed, responsible, and ethical. Our work helps you be all three when considering issues because we:

  • Research and discuss the truth about issues as a community.
  • Weigh all sides honestly based on the facts.
  • Debate opinions and possibilities respectfully.
  • Decide - based on facts - what’s best for the common good of all Americans.

We publish our research and conclusions. We do not tell you what to believe.

Our Constitution put commoners in charge - through elections, freedom to run for office, and the flexibility to serve our communities in many ways.

Support our work to confirm the facts - and the solutions that serve the common good.

Not a revolution. A restoration.

We can do this.

Everything we publish is free. Making it isn’t.

Your monthly gift keeps our research open to everyone.

Commoners Club

Donate $125/month

or $1,375/year

It costs about $1,500 to research one claim - our near-term goal is to complete 100 claims. One hundred Commoners Club Members, giving for one year, fund all 100.

By the end of 2027, we would like to have 250-500 claims fully documented with the facts - so voters are informed and can engage in civil discussion and debate.

Your gift becomes research any American can read, study and share - to focus more on where we agree rather than how our opinions may differ.

In recognition of your support, you have access to:

  • Everything in Member.

Member and Commoners Club donations are tax-deductible except for the value of commenting access, which we estimate at $5 per month. Your year-end giving statement will show the tax-deductible portion of your gifts.

Frequently asked questions

Is Simple Liberty a nonprofit?

Yes. Simple Liberty Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. EIN (Tax ID): 42-3420651. One-time gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Member and Commoners Club donations are tax-deductible except for the value of commenting access, which we estimate at $5 per month. Your year-end giving statement will show the tax-deductible portion of your gifts.

Can I give something other than cash?

Yes - and it is often the better way. Most American wealth is not cash. It is in appreciated stock, real estate, business interests, and retirement accounts. Giving an appreciated asset directly, instead of selling it first, can mean more going to our work and less going to taxes. Most people never realize this is an option.

Tell us what you have in mind using this form, and David will reply within one business day. We will work with your CPA or advisor on the details.

How are donations spent?

Every dollar fuels the work: Original research on real solutions, the people who produce it, and the platform where citizens develop it together. We’re a lean team, not an institution - your support goes to the mission, not bloat.

Your support primarily funds three things:

  1. The hours it takes to research each claim - through meaning, evidence, impact, and solution - and to run our Commoners Corner challenges and online discussions with Members.
  2. Serving Members as we respond to issues with solutions, and refine our work - respectfully, transparently.
  3. Outreach (not paid advertising) to discuss our work with others, including major influencers on podcasts, the media, and in other organizations seeking to sustain American freedoms.
Are donations refundable?

Contributions are charitable gifts and are not refundable. You can cancel your membership at any time from your member account to stop future contributions.

One exception is billing errors. Duplicate or mistaken charges are always refunded.
